This record was made on a clifftop flat by the sea in North Queensland. It's a bit like a mix of Max Richter with less money and the odd telecasters drifting in and out of the room. It's somnambulant, melodic and dissonant by turns and it's not for everybody. Health scares, financial stresses and political downturns inform the mood, along with a conviction that staring into the abyss is okay as long as you take notes.
